DATA PARTNERSHIPS FOR ESTABLISHED BUSINESSES

Your records.
New possibilities.

Years of work create more than deliverables. We help businesses explore whether their company-owned records could have a second purpose through data licensing.

A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE

There’s knowledge
in the everyday.

How a team solves a problem. Why a project takes a particular direction. The procedures refined over years of practice.

These records capture how work gets done. Some may be useful for training and evaluating AI systems—where ownership, permissions and buyer requirements align.

Birchfield Data is an independent introduction business. We help you explore that possibility, starting with a practical conversation about what your company retains.

WHERE WE START

Built on real work.

Our initial focus is on two fields where
experience becomes documented knowledge.

01

SOFTWARE & IT

Knowledge that
keeps teams moving.

Internal records that explain how systems are built, supported and improved.

  • Technical documentation
  • Delivery procedures & support workflows
  • Knowledge-base revisions
Discuss your records
02

ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN

The thinking
behind the outcome.

Internal records that capture the processes and decisions shaping a practice.

  • Design-review notes
  • Practice knowledge libraries
  • Coordination & decision processes
Discuss your records

Potential examples, subject to suitability and rights review. Client-owned, confidential or restricted material needs separate consideration.

A CONSIDERED APPROACH

Clarity before commitment.

Three steps to understand whether
an opportunity is worth exploring.

  1. 01

    Start with what you have.

Describe the types of records you retain, the years they cover and the systems that hold them. A general overview is enough to begin.

  2. 02

    Explore the potential fit.

Consider ownership, restrictions and prospective buyer requirements. Together, we identify the questions that need answering.

  3. 03

    Decide on an introduction.

If a suitable opportunity emerges, choose whether to authorize an introduction to a named buyer. Any licensing terms are agreed separately.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

the right questions.

Something else on your mind?
Ask David

Does Birchfield Data buy our records?

Birchfield Data is an independent introduction business. We explore potential opportunities between companies holding eligible records and prospective buyers. An initial conversation does not mean a buyer has been identified or an offer exists.

Can records from client projects be included?

Having access to a record does not establish the right to license it. Client agreements, confidentiality obligations and third-party rights may restrict its use. Client-owned or restricted material should be excluded unless the necessary permissions are established.

What could a licensing arrangement pay?

There is no standard offer. Commercial terms depend on buyer interest, the records’ suitability and the rights available. Birchfield Data does not guarantee acceptance, a licensing agreement or payment.

Should we send files with our inquiry?

No files are needed. Start with a high-level description of your company and the records you retain. Please do not send confidential files, personal data or client materials. Any later review or transfer would need an agreed process.

How is Birchfield Data compensated?

Where a written agreement provides for it, Birchfield Data may receive a referral fee from a buyer. Any applicable compensation arrangement will be disclosed before an introduction.
